Kriloop respects intellectual-property rights and expects its users to do the same. If you believe content on Kriloopinfringes your copyright or trademark, tell us and we’ll act. This page covers both the US DMCA process and the equivalent process under Indian law.
How to report copyright infringement
Send a notice to grievance@kriloop.com (or by post to the address at the foot of this page) that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the infringing material and enough information to locate it (e.g. the URL of the post or Track);
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
Incomplete notices can’t be acted on. Submitting a knowingly false claim can make you liable for damages.
What we do
On a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who posted it. Under India’s Copyright Rules, we may restore access after 21 days if the complainant has not obtained a court order requiring it to stay down, unless we’re otherwise required to act. We also act on court orders and government notifications within the timelines the law sets.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to grievance@kriloop.com with:
- your signature;
- identification of the removed material and where it appeared;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and
- your name, address and phone number, and (for US/DMCA matters) consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and to accept service from the complainant.
Where the DMCA applies, we may restore the material 10–14 business days after a valid counter-notice unless the complainant tells us they’ve filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate cases, restrict, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights.
Trademarks
Trademark complaints (brand impersonation, misuse of a mark) follow a separate process — email grievance@kriloop.com with your registration details and the specific content at issue. Impersonation is also covered by our Community Guidelines.
Our role
Kriloopis an intermediary under §79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We act on infringement reports as described here and on valid court or government orders, in line with India’s IT Rules, 2021.
